Since 1923, Norwela Council, has helped the Boys and Girls of Northwest Louisiana to develop character, leadership, and positive values for the benefit of the youth, families, and communities that we serve including the parishes of Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, and Webster.
Our Mission
It is the mission of the Norwela Council of the Boy Scouts of America to develop character, leadership and positive values for the benefit of the youth, families and communities that we serve.
We will accomplish our mission through the dedicated help of Norwela Council's volunteer and professional staff and community support.
For more than 89 years the Norwela Council of the Boy Scouts of America has been working to prepare today's boys to become tomorrow's men by instilling values that have grown too scarce in today's society. The Norwela Council of the BSA was established in 1923. It serves a nine-parish region: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, and Webster.
